Thank you for your interest in Modern Obstetrics and Gynecology. Our physicians and staff strive to provide comprehensive care to women with compassion in a comfortable, state of the art environment. Dr. Lori Shoha and Dr. Jay Fisher are on staff at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. They are trained and experienced in addressing all your women’s health needs, from pregnancy to menopause, from infertility issues to contraception, and from the latest surgical techniques to alternative treatments for hormonal disorders. Dr. Fisher specializes in minimally invasive surgery including the DaVinci robotic hysterectomy. We would also like to introduce the newest member of our staff, Mallory Hudson, PA-C! Mallory trained at Wayne State University and has a special interest in Women's Health and Adolescent GYN care.

Obstetrics

We provide full preventative gynecologic care throughout the life cycle, from contraceptive counseling and treatment to bioidentical hormone replacement therapy for treatment of menopausal symptoms. Learn more.
DaVinci Robotic Surgery
​
While we emphasize alternatives to hysterectomy, Dr Fisher is an expert in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, including the use of the DaVinci robot to perform procedures such as hysterectomy and myomectomy (removal of uterine fibroids).
In-Office Procedures
​
We offer several in-office procedures and a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, as a safe alternative to hospital-based procedures. This gives patients a more convenient, more cost-effective and less anxiety provoking treatment option. Learn more.
Acessa
​
Accesa is a new, minimally invasive outpatient procedure used to shrink even large fibroids that cause abnormal bleeding, pain or bulk symptoms, usually with only 2 small incisions. Patients go home the same day and can avoid having a hysterectomy. Click here to learn more

OUR TEAM
Dr. Fisher has been in practice since 1996. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Fisher completed his training at William Beaumont Hospital’s Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Fisher has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and alternative options to traditional hysterectomy, including DaVinci Robotic Hysterectomy. He and his wife, Lisa, have three wonderful children.
Mallory Hudson is our new PA!
She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Wayne State University. Her healthcare background is in OBGYN. Mallory has a special interest in adolescent GYN, Obstetrics, and women's health and wellness. She has two French Bulldogs and enjoys traveling.
Dr. Shoha has been in private practice since 1996. She earned her undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Michigan. Dr. Shoha completed her residency at Lutheran General Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Shoha and her husband, Steve have two lovely children (Charlie and Stella). She enjoys being a mother, watercolor painting, practicing and teaching yoga.
